Restaurant GLOBE. Cuisine du Marché, Montreal

This assessment will be written in English and not in Swedish. And my reason for that is to show the restaurant and particulary our waitress Jessica Harnois all respect. She did a fantastic effort to me and my guests this evening. Thank you, Jessica! If everyone would appear as you do, I´m going to do great business in the future. My guests this evening, were more than satisfied.

S o let me tell you about why I pay such a tribute to this restaurant. First of all, we arrived at 8.30 pm as we agreed with our reception clark in Hotel Holiday Inn, Midtown, Montreal. But he forgot to make a reservation. But this was no problem at all, the restaurant arranged that in five minutes.

Second thing to raise up in the clouds, is that the menu was introduced in a great way. Third thing is the food, both the seefood and the meat was wonderfoul and really well done. It tasted superb. (but maybe they should try to be a little bit more capable in recommending the wine.)

I am giving the food ***** (five) stars of five possible. Service and placement will also have ***** (five) stars.

The premises will only have *** (three) stars out of five. My reason for that is the music, it was to loudly, it wasn´t possible to conduct a normal conversation. You had to half scream all the time to each other, and still you always missed something in the discussion. And of course, wich is quite suprising in 2005, the allowed smoking! Such unbelivible cooking will run the risk of lose their reputation because of smoking.

Summary: Great service, marvelous cooking, good placement. But loudly premises and smoking allowed. My recommendation is, visit Restaurant GLOBE in 3455 St-Laurent, Montreal. Take someone you like very much with you.
